Email address

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address to send you our weekly digest. We use this email for no other purpose. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click.

Analytics data

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, time on page, and general location (country/city level). This data is anonymised and aggregated. We do not use it to identify individual users. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Affiliate link clicks

When you click an affiliate link, we log the click (tool slug and timestamp) for commission reporting. No personal information is attached to this log.

Cookies

We use cookies for Google Analytics only. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking cookies, no third-party marketing pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. If you subscribed to our newsletter and want your email removed from our records entirely, use the unsubscribe link in any email we sent you. For any other requests, contact us at privacy@smartstackguide.com.

Data retention

Newsletter subscriber emails are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained for 14 months per Google Analytics default settings. Affiliate click logs are retained for 12 months.

We may update this policy periodically. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
